We start by conducting a site survey of your cemetery. During this survey we do a walk through of the various sections using GPS navigation, checking measurements of walkways, tree lines, roadways, building, gates and other identifying characteristic that will be used as visual landmarks on your maps.
Once your survey is completed, we take all pertinent information and create an overview map of your cemetery. This is followed by a series of detailed maps, which break down your cemetery section by section to include adding lot numbers, grave numbers and the names of lot owners if names are required.
Please note that a number of different methods are used to aid us in obtaining map accuracy, including combining GPS navigation with satellite imaging and laser distance measuring to determine length, width and compute areas of volume meticulously. While on site, we put together a 360-degree virtual tour survey of your cemetery that aids us in mapping and reviewing questionable areas and terrain. As a bonus, we give you this virtual tour survey FREE.
