Part One- provides you with information on computer equipment, easy-to-use mapping software, data management software and measuring tools needed for working on site.
Part Two- shows you how to survey and map a cemetery by using simple distance measuring techniques, satellite imaging and GPS to pin-point the location of graves, tombs, headstones foot markers, lot pins etc.
Part Three- focuses on the mapping software and how to turn your survey notes and sketches into computerized working drawing. In addition, we cover redrawing (duplicating) old maps, scan map editing, and printing maps up to 36" wide times any length.
Part Four- shows you how to put together a computerized filing system for interment information. We show you how to link your cemetery maps and interment data files together so that changes and updating can be done at the same time.
Part Five- provides you with project examples to use as a reference guide. We show completed projects that include Overview Maps, Site Survey Maps, Sub-Section Maps, Satellite Vector Maps and maps that make available the name of lot owners and names of the interments.
Part Six- explores other applications such as virtual panoramas, video, ground penetrating radar and publishing maps and burial listings on the World Wide Web.
